This month we have strayed out of England and into North Wales with its historic castles and now infamous 20 mph speed limit. So far I haven’t found the new speed limit to be that much of a problem to be honest as it seems to be mainly confined to the city and town centres. An added bonus is that the recent speed limit changes are clearly marked and not yet hidden behind several years of tree growth, the down side being that should I fall foul of a speeding infringement then I only have myself to blame – fingers crossed eh!
I can also report that this months blog post has been written on our new laptop, we decided to buy now and run both old and new together for a while to make sure all is well, secure and functional. So far so good and the new laptop is certainly faster and more robust than the outgoing model which we may sell on at a later date so that we are not duplicating stuff or carrying extra weight.
Our American Adventure plans are progressing well with all flights and some hotels already booked along with a rather busy and extensive route drawn up. We’re covering approximately 10 thousand miles over a 3 month period so there should be plenty to see and do, I will publish the route map at a later date but don’t forget to check the travel map during 2024 as we venture further afield.
We are fully booked up dog sitting until the New Year now and what never fails to amaze us is just how fascinating the people are we meet. We are not going to post personal details in a blog obviously but if you ask us in person we have stories about some of the most interesting, friendly and truly wonderful people we have had the pleasure to meet, many of whom have rebooked us for future dog sits as far as 2025!!
We are getting closer and closer to visiting aunties, uncles and extended family in December which we are really looking forward to and then a months downtime in the Canary Islands. Perhaps next year we can revisit more of what Wales has to offer and maybe catch up with a few more friends and family as we buzz around the UK again.
Dave

Hi David, good to hear from you and hope you’re doing well. Say hello to all at GTD for me and I may get chance to pop into the office at the end of June 2024 for a quick visit. All the best, Stephen
Annette
and another thing about the 20mph… it makes walking along the roadside a more pleasurable experience as it is much quieter and you can actually hear each other speak! 😄
Very exciting to be booking the USA flights. I really enjoyed the other week spending time organising our route – it will definitely be an Adventure 😜
Lots to look forward to in 2024 with America, the canaries and lovely doggy re-sits but plenty more fun to come in 2023 with Auntie visits, new areas to explore and many more doggy cuddles 😁
Carlos
