Spring Lambs

Spring is in the air finally and the weather has been very kind to us over the last few weeks. After another wonderful sit in Woodstock looking after the two terrier brothers Bob & Jambo we headed north to spend a couple of weeks visiting family in Leeds and Manchester before restocking the van and heading back south.

As we have made so many new friends whilst dog sitting, our travels across the UK seldom involve a direct route. As an example, leaving Woodstock heading north we decided to call in and see Sherlock & Indi in Snifnal with a short backtrack to see Fred, Elsie & Alfie in Barnt Green – on our journey south we called in to see Ken & Wolfie in Gaddesby and Jester & Gemma in Oundle.

We finally arrived back in Littlebury, Saffron Walden mid March to resit Kylo, a very clever Labrador with a big personality. We last sat for Kylo back in March 2024 for 6 weeks prior to our USA trip so we bonded very closely with him over that time. He was as pleased to see us again this year as we were to see him and we spent another couple of weeks playing, cuddling and walking miles with him.

Leaving Kylo we called in to see Frankie in Bishop’s Stortford as we are sitting for her in July and as we were literally passing by on the way to our next sit we arranged to pop in to say hello – spoiler alert for July “Frankie is ever so sweet and gentle” we’re going to have a great time looking after her.

The end of March and beginning of April we found ourselves on a new sit in Barcombe, East Sussex with Noma a Standard Schnauzer. The weather was superb for the entire sit and we walked miles across beautiful countryside following the winding Ouse river.

Next week we are back in Woodstock for another couple of weeks fun with Bob & Jambo – stay tuned.

East Sussex was beautiful, so many lovely walks with sweet Noma, plus we got to visit Brighton which was interesting 😉

It’s great when we get a chance to call in at some of our furry friends, they are always so pleased to see us and their owners clearly enjoy our visits too as they’re often saying “please call in if you’re passing, it’s always lovely to see you” 👍

Sounds like you may have actually outdone me recently with the travels!

I’ll blame Dylan/Josh for making me go on holiday for a whole week in the sun haha.
