We love dogs it’s plain to see and did not realise how difficult not being with them was going to be. Losing Tay during Covid was hard as we could not be with him at the vets but losing Treacle during our travels was devastating, we booked into a hotel for 4 days and cried.
Not wishing to ever go through that pain and loss again we decided the best alternative was to sit for other people’s dogs whilst they were away on holiday and get our fill of dog cuddles and walks that way. What we didn’t expect was to be introduced to a whole new world of doggy delights through the well established and very organised website Trusted Housesitters.
Our dogs gave us so much love and affection and since dog sitting we have had the opportunity to care for so many wonderful dogs, meet such interesting people and visit some amazing places. We owe our dogs so much that we now devote the majority of our time returning the love, a vocation if you wish.
